The CBSA launches an investigation into wheat gluten from Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Lithuania. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today that it is launching an investigation to determine whether certain wheat gluten from Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Lithuania is being sold at unfair prices in Canada

New COVID law allows delays in trade remedy proceedings, risks WTO violations. On July 27, Canada’s Bill C-20, An Act respecting further COVID-19 measures, became law. Buried in Bill C-20, beneath changes to Canada’s emergency fiscal measures, is the power to extend (even retroactively) the timelines for anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings in Canada, including the timelines for final determinations in dumping or subsidy investigations (Borden Ladner Gervais)

U.S. Department of Commerce Issues Final Ruling in Anti-Circumvention Inquiry Regarding Imports of Hydrofluorocarbon Components from China. Specifically, Commerce determined not to include HFC components within the scope of the antidumping duty (AD) order on HFC blends from China. Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refund all cash deposits required for subject merchandise pursuant to this inquiry and discontinue the suspension of liquidation
